Spare props, decals, cushions, flags, and lights are included in the sale, as is a vintage Vagabond cooler. Areas of corrosion are noted by the seller. The single-axle trailer features galvanized steel construction, welded reinforcement plates covered in primer, Bearing Buddy grease caps, a transom saver, a manual winch, and a wheeled tongue jack. The seller notes a leak from the lower unit. The seller notes that the six-gallon, OMC-manufactured Mile Master and Cruise-a-Day remote fuel cans were fitted with a new dual-line fuel/air hose in 2015, and that new fuel hose to engine seals were changed in 2021. Additional service reportedly included a carburetor rebuild with an ethanol-resistant float as well as replacement of the ignition coils, points, condensers, and spark plugs. The motor houses a forward/reverse transmission in its lower unit, which is said to have been resealed. The 35-horsepower 1957 Evinrude Lark outboard features an electric choke and starter, and was installed under current ownership. Buttons and toggle switches are mounted in the aluminum dash panel, and Morse hand controls are found to the operator’s right. A low-profile bilge pump is mounted under the rear floor.Ī three-spoke Kaminc steering wheel sits ahead of an Airguide 45-mph speedometer. The floorboards have been repainted under current ownership, during which under-seat storage areas have also been installed along with 12-volt accessory outlets under each dashboard. The cockpit features two rows of seats that have been fitted with replacement cushions and reupholstered in red and white vinyl. Various dents and scratches can be seen in the gallery below. The seller notes that solid rivets have been used to fill holes drilled under previous ownership, and an area at the rear has been sealed with Marine Tex compound. The barrelback-style boat features a marine-grade plywood transom that was installed in 2015, stained dark brown, coated with marine spar varnish, and fitted with an aluminum support plate on the front side. Additional features include red Feather Craft decals, a red and green navigation light, and a replacement bow cleat. The polished aluminum hull is comprised of riveted panels and measures 13’ long with a 59” beam. This Feather Craft is offered at no reserve with a single-axle galvanized trailer, extra decals and flags, spare parts, a Vagabond ice chest, and clean Kentucky titles for the trailer and boat in the seller’s name. Additional features include two rows of seats trimmed in red and white vinyl, a bilge pump, Morse controls, a speedometer, navigation lights, and dual 12-volt accessory outlets. Condition: Used, Year: 1962, Make: Starcraft, Type: Sport Fisherman, Length (feet): 16.0, Beam (feet): 5.This 1953 Feather Craft is a 13’ riveted aluminum Deluxe Runabout that was acquired approximately seven years ago by the seller, who subsequently fitted it with a 35-horsepower 1957 Evinrude Lark two-cylinder outboard motor. It is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end the auction early if the boat sells here. Buyer is responsible for shipping the boat. There is no motor, and the trailer is not included. I have inspected the boat, and the floor has a couple of soft spots. Aluminum runabouts are also relatively affordable, making them a great option for budget-minded shoppers. Aluminum is durable yet lightweight, making it easy to maneuver. It appears the previous owner had started some type of renovations. Aluminum runabout boats are a good middle ground between inflatable and fiberglass options. Overall I would rate this boat an 8 out of 10, the hull and transom are in good shape, the interior is makeshift at best. The previous owner did not have a title, so the boat will come with a bill of sale. I bought it as part of a package deal, I have a nearly identical 63, and bought this boat strictly for the vintage outboard.
